Day 6
After too little sleep and a depressing early start in Patterdale
hostel, the 127 mile day became one of the most enjoyable but longest of the trip with
a glorious evening between Dumfries and Stair, including a 7 mile decent.
Most of the team are suffering vibration white finger due to the Ayrshire council
policy of spending naff all on roads.
We were entertained at our lunch in Dumfries by a local celebrity (street drinker) on
the harmonica. The Stair Inn provided good ale and great steaks for recovery!
