Day 5
Well, that was a tough day! 99 miles but lots of it was into
a head wind.
Joined by lots of Gav's friends (on bikes) and a few of Pete's (in a shiny BMW)
so that helped to make the time go more quickly, but we just didn't get anywhere
fast, and we really needed to! Kirkstone pass at the end of the day proved challenging
yet rewarding, and there was a welcome pint for us in the pub at the top, as well as
some more sponsorship!
Now were more than half way through and relishing the thought of 126 miles tomorrow,
when - just like the littlest hobo - we'll just keep moving on.
